EPIC Residences & Hotel’s sales center recently served as the ideal backdrop for a press conference launching a statewide training and hiring program for construction workers.
Florida’s Lt. Governor Toni Jennings began the Sept. 8 conference with a reference to the area’s booming real estate construction market. She remarked that naysayers should look at EPIC, which is well under construction, and the numerous waterfront condos in downtown Miami that are growing at a rapid speed.
Considered one of the premier waterfront properties in Florida, EPIC Residences & Hotel, which is being built by CMC Construction, was chosen as the host for the conference not just for its prime location. The company is also very involved with the South Florida Workforce. Auervina Molina, a project control assistant for CMC, liaised with the Workforce to hire construction workers such as Courtney Scott, who spoke at the event.
The press conference was the first of a three-stop tour of the state promoting Florida reBuild, which will offer training for individuals interested in a career in construction. The program is aiming to fill more than 13,000 vacant positions with trained workers in the construction trade. Locally, Florida reBuild works with the South Florida Workforce, the area Employ Florida Affiliate. For more information on Florida reBuild and the training being offered visit
